Two questions and hopefully some answers. 1. When I put my foot brake on my front and rear tail lights also go on. Why? 2. My battery discharges quickly (it is a new battery). Why? |

1. Bad ground on brake light bulbs. Current is going thru brake light filament, can't find a ground. Then current goes thru running light filaments in brake light bulbs. Then current finally goes thru front running light filaments to find ground. 2. Something is on that shouldn't be. Put ammeter on battery and pull fuses until current stops |

Put your turn signal on and look front and rear to see if the park lights flash . May help you narrow it down to a side. Also check the bulbs to see if one has shorted filaments. Check the socket contacts, sometimes they will twist around and cause problems also. If all this looks ok, then just try looking for a bad ground (much harder to track down). For the battery drain, same as above. -Matt |
