Post subject:  Need Torqueflight 6 COMPLETE

I have a 64 Valiant Covertible and the transmission is "toast". (Ever seen lots of metal where it's not welcome ?) . I need to completely rebuild from scratch. The damage is so bad I need the case as well as everything else and the case itself is of course different for a push-button trans. I've already gotten some conflicting info about what will or won't fit/work as a replacement so any definitive word on that would be golden.

64 Valiant 225 Slant 6
Automatic - Torqueflight 6
Push-button shifter.

I need either a case and/or a used transmission, preferrably one I can rebuild.

Any tips or locations to look, (including a parts house that might carry the whole thing) would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Kevin

Note: I'll also need the extension housing seal for the rear yoke, which is a bolt-on yoke.

Kevin,

Too bad we're so far from LA. I left a rebuildable '64 PB 904 in a garage there.

If you hurry, you might get one of the /6 racers to bring a core to Clay City, KY this weekend, and then I could pick it up for you.

I do have the built PB trans out of my '64 Dart. It has the V8 guts and about 35k miles on the rebuild (89k when rebuilt). I would need some reasonable bread for this to convince me to sell it, but I could be convinced.

Let me know,

Lou

I have a few of these PB 904s but I'm on the other side of the country.
I would not want much for a core or a good working used tranny but shipping would be a few bucks.

Kevin,

I am leaving for the weekend at Clay City in a few hours. I'll give you a ring when I get back in town Sunday night or Monday.

Another option is that I'm heading to LA in the next month or so, and I could check that other PB 904 on the plane. :D For people who know me, you know I'm being serious...

Cheers,

Lou

Post subject:  Please give me a call

My kingdome for a quick phone call today. Both the local options I had for a replacement PB/904 have not panned out, so before I start shipping stuff from across the country I'd love to talk with someone who knows a bit more than me.

Local # in N. Raleigh 877-1092
Toll free 888-777-6477.

Kevin,

I had a crazy day today - trying to buy a house for the first time!

I'll try to call you tomorrow (tues) for a 904 chat.

Cheers,

Lou
