It seems that thiss was actually a common problem on mid 70's B bodies, it happened to both sides of my 76 Charger SE (a Cordoba w/ a different grille) and shortly after I saw a bunch more with that prob. I have also seen it on the same vintage B vans, too. On my Charger, my brother and I got some angle iron and made some new mounts that we welded to the main frame rails, you know, the place that the Mopar Perf Spring Relocator Kit moves the springs to. We left the shackles in the stock location, and basically built a new rear shackle "box" and it held another 3 years til I finally got rid of the car. (And it was still holdind then!)

There is a place that makes replacement sections for the frames and makes the rear hanger sections. I can't remember the name, but they advertise in all the Mopar rags. Or, you can do like Don and fabricate a section yourself, it's not that hard to do once you get the spring out.

I gotta ask though, if it pushed a spring through the floor, what's the rest of the car like?
