I'm looking for some home made engine run and engine storage stand ideas. I cant seem to find anything on the web other than very expensive run stands. Thanks

Make one out of an old K frame with slant mounts.

It's not rocket science for the Storage stand.

I made a run stand out of a volare k frame - it was heavy and bulky but worked.

A bunch of scrap components helped for the peripherals.... coils, starter relay, waring etc. all from parts cars. 2x4 supports for radiator.

If you sort through my roster thread, there should be a video of it around 2010 or so.

When I parted out an early A, I saved as a complete unit the frame rails, transmission crossmember, and core support. With the early A k Frame I can mount either a slant or LA V8 using the appropriate motor mounts. With casters on it, it’s a Perfect run stand.

Patrick built a run stand out of 2X2 box steel. Turned out really nice.

He also built a storage cradle years ago that holds the motor/transmission as an assembly. It can also be used for pulling the motor/trans out the bottom of the car.
