:D Tryings and to find Jack Everhart Rodney hargis told me to look you up about getting some rubber oil pan gaskets instead of having to use the cork

I notice they have a silicone valve cover gasket too. Is anybody using one of these?
If so, how is it working out?

I tried both oil pan and vc gaskets from them.

If you hit them with any sort of solvent they stretch and don't fit.

I have since went back to cork and rubber.

I've used cork gaskets since the early 80s and never had a problem with them. I apply a thin coat of Indian Head shellac to the valve cover side and spray a light coating of Pam to the head side to facilitate easier removal. Lasts a good while.
