Quick question

I swapped the engine in my d100 over a year ago now and started looking at the motor that came out. It had a rocker shaft bolt finger loose ,almost completely backed out. It was suffering from low oil pressure and valve train noise. That would be a sufficient explanation for both correct ? I will keep digging as the previous owner supposedly had the head off , but I was just a little excited that with a freshen up that might be the smoking gun.

Thanks Elton

It's a good possibility, especially if it is a late engine with hydraulic lifters.
What year is the engine/truck?

As long as it is out though, you are smart to spend a few gaskets to at least look inside.

It’s an 1985 with hydraulic lifters. Gaskets are cheap.
