I have one set of the race headers on my 69 Valiant and they fit pretty good. They do point towards the ground and can make some big clouds of dust when you are not moving. My main track I race at, with that car at is Woodburn and it's all black top and grass. You could weld on some extensions and keep the exhaust parallel with the ground like a normal V8 header. |

Thanks for the info. How are the head flanges, problems with sealing? I like the Clifford thick flange, the Hookers I had with the thin flange and mickey mouse spacers were a real pain. I really don't want to blow a bunch of stuff when I start it and run it around the pits. Thinking something like this:

The flanges on the Aussie headers are only about 3/8 compared to the "normal" 1/2 thick flanges. Did have to mess with the tabs a little but had no exhaust leaks. This help ? |

Yes, thanks. I just want a simple fool proof system, don't need any leaks or a lot of trouble installing and removing them. I really think the Clifford flange is the best. I have a set of shortys, but they look like they leave a lot on the table for performance. |
