So at night I noticed my headlights, taillights and dash lights pulsate steady independently of engine rpm. It’s constant weather I’m driving 60 mph or sitting at an idle. Checked both my grounds on the battery as well as the ground on my electric fuel pump. Replaced my alternator, it was weak anyways, with no improvement. And battery tests strong. Any ideas? Thanks guys. |

Faulty voltage regulation, either because of a failing regulator or an issue in the wiring between the ignition switch, the regulator, and the alternator. Electric fuel pumps on carbureted vehicles are dangerous unless they're wired up thoughtfully. They're also usually unnecessary; why's this truck have one? |

Previous owner installed one after the mechanical one went out. I was thinking it would be the voltage regulator. Any idea where it’s located? And why are electric pumps dangerous with carburetor vehicles? Should I go back to the mechanical pump? |

Per your guys advice I got around to replacing that voltage regulator. Cleared it right up. Thanks again guys! |
