Just out of curiosity.
I have the original small bolt pattern wheels. There seem to be two different types (maybe there are even more?) I have wondered about it for years (decades actually). What’s the difference? Are the ones older and the others newer. If so, which are older?

Thanks,

Early 13" wheels won't clear 10" brake drums.

Thank you again, it’s interesting to know. So the ones with the openings are the old ones? I would’ve guessed the other way around but it seems the solid ones provide more room. I find a change in the part number from 1964 to 1965, is this when the change happened?

Yup (slots were narrowed to clear the larger drums) and yup (10" drums introduced with the V8 in midyear '64).

Never knew there was a difference.
