Well since I use mikes carburetor for parts I saw the universal 1904. Any one try one of these or the like on a slant six? From what I’ve read they seem probably a little small? It would just be nice to have something that wasn’t wore out. Thanks |

They are 1 1/2" in bores where BBS on a 225 is 1 11/16". Smallest 170 carb was 1 9/16" so I would think it is a little undersized. Company that makes them is in the US but I am not sure if they outsource production or not. Sadly there isn't much aftermarket for 1bbl carbs. |

I was thinking the same. I couldn’t remember what the 1bbl for the 225 measured. Thank you. |

Those are made in Argentina. Not very well suited to a Slant-6 engine -- undersized and not correctly configured, and that price, $339? No sale. |
