this on my 85 D150.... currently looking for a manifold stack, hoping to get lucky and find a Super Six one. I know that the kickdown is different between a 1 bbl and a 2 bbl. But is there also a difference between models with a 904 vs those with a 727? I haven't seen that many slants with a 727, but this one is..... |

I don't know fi there is amenaingful difference between the 904 and 727 kickdown linkage, but there definitely is a difference between a passenger car and a truck kickdown. I converted my 76 D100 to aSuper Six and tried to use the complete passenger car kickdown and it didn't clear the loor and the exhaust. I had to use part of the single barrel linkage and it still just kisses the floor and sometimes get stuck. I am going to convert it to a cable kickdown linkage eventually. |

No. See this thread for kickdown options.

Huh didn't think of that, I have both a 96 and a 99 Dakota plus an 01 Durango (a 3.9, a 318, and a 360 Magnums, among them) as well, can look at those setups and see what I can adapt from those. (No, not gonna steal anything off of those, they are our current daily drivers) plenty of those in the local yard though. On the Bouchillon set up, my son has 2 of them, haven't seen how he set up the 440 in the '72 C body wagon, but the 360 in the ramcharger definitely looks like a cobble job from them. It works but I don't like how it looks. |
