Post subject:  Coil attachment identification

Good morning,

I am in the process of wiring up my ignition system and am trying to determine what this item is hanging off my coil and if I need to remove it. As you can see in the photo, there is a AA battery sized and shaped piece attached to my coil via the yellow wire. It is not shown in the wiring diagram for the two point resistor as shown in the website below.

Do you guys think I am good to leave it there or should I remove it as I am rewiring the ignition?

It's original use was noise suppression for the radio. Attached to the + terminal. You can "google" it and find lots more info. Or wait and someone with a lot more information will post.

Huh, I would not have guessed that Hyperpack. I will just leave it in place then.
