Clifford has changed their address to Waterford Maine. Have they been sold, or just moving? |

Has anyone actually dealt with them directly latley for slan parts? I would think that the clifford parts being traded are in the aftermarket. Greg |

Maybe someone bought them. That could be a good thing. |

Quote: Maybe someone bought them. That could be a good thing. I think the owners of Clifford milked the business all they could. It takes an energetic person in charge to make something of a small business that manufactures stuff, and they need savvy business skills. A person with those skills can earn good money working for someone else. And they probably will charge prices like Aussie Speed does.

Actually it is Larry Milwee(sp). He is/was Jacks son-in-law. https://cliffordperformance.net/contact He is active on facebook. Third hand info: When Jack died, there was fighting among the family. Employees stealing parts and selling them on E-bay. Etc. Larry wound up with the company. I would imagine after all that there wasn't much money, or saleable product left. One of the biggest problems I had with Larry, was when he would try to sell a product that wouldn't work as advertised (using adjustable rockers, and pushrods, in a hydraulic cam kit), and he was informed about that, he would ignore the advice given him. Actually I hope he gets things squared away. We need companies that can supply parts for the slant. PS: I have no idea about any of the other make/brand (Ford/chevy/etc) parts he has available. |

Does anyone know why they decided to move so far from their original area in California? Greg |

Lots of companies are moving or want to move out of California. Especially manufacturers of performance parts. CARB has come down hard on several of my suppliers and the state is making it more and more difficult to run a business. |

In the last 10 to 15 years more and more businesses have left Cali because of too much regulation and pressure from new rules and laws. Not sure why they chose to move so far, but many want to get as far away from Cali as possible when they do move. |
