As requested.. My Dad's 1964 Dodge Dart GT... He Drag raced locally at 2 tracks in the Pittsburgh PA Area from ~1964-72. He never raced again, after that, that I know of. Especially after the collapse of the economy in 1982-83 and with the steel mills leaving the area and Massive layoffs he didn't really have play money any more. He had a 64 Dart GT with slant six and factory a833. the car sits in it's morbid state now as it has since 72. Supposedly the thing has (and still does have ) a mondello (yes that Joe Mondello of Oldsmobile fame) head on it(i guess he made or modified slant heads) webbers and other period goodies. Lots of real clifford parts. Stock weight car ran Mid 14's I believe. Check the album here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmMjte6A Too many photos to post here for now. Wow, Greg. That is terrific!!! I grew up in Westmoreland County PA, and spent many weekends at Keystone in the 70's (spectating only). Those were really fun times. That car is an amazing time capsule. What are your plans for it? |

Westmoreland county, in a (very) small town called Bolivar, across the Conemaugh River from Robinson PA. Bolivar, New Florence, Fairfield, and Seward made up Laurel Valley High School where I graduated. Where are you located? |

I have never been under the car. I think there are a few pressure plates, and discs in boxes /drawer at his house. Bell housing is probably stock 64 cast iron i would guess. Greg |

Greg, I am amazed that anyone has ever been to Bolivar (who hasn't lived there). Your dad's car is amazing. I would have LOVED to see the looks on people's faces when he opened the hood back in the day. Do you know what the best times are that your dad got with that car? |

Mid 14's I believe. There are hand written time cards somewhere.. maybe some of the mice got to em? Greg |

my Mom was from Export PA,, so as a kid in the late 50's early 60's that area of PA is where we spent our family summer vacations.We would stay at a hotel in Delmont PA, to this day I remember the blueberry pancakes at the Lamplighter Inn. I believe that restaurant is still in business. |
