What is the current best ignition upgrade? I have an 1965 A100 with a super six in the doghouse. That doghouse around the engine, limits space on the passenger side, might cause overheating? I'm thinking Petronix ignition system, LiveWires plug wires and upgraded coil. Thanks! I appreciate your help. You guys are great! Gary

Most guys will recommend an electronic distributor and a HEI conversion. I went with a Pertronix in the end and I am very happy with it. The one I used is the Ignitor 2 and I bought a matching coil. The pertronix keeps the engine bay stock looking which I thought was a plus.

For wires I got a set from Magnecore. I recommend them over anyone else. They even have a set available with spark plug boots which the other brands don't have.

I did the HEI Ignition Upgrade on my 65 Barracuda. You can mount the HEI module remotely in cool and dry location.
