the way the world is and because I do intend to drive the 68 Barracuda, I installed a car alarm
it is an Avital 3305L, what I liked about this unit is that it has an antenna and a extended range fob that will receive a signal from as much as 1500 feet away,
should be enough range to send a signal across a hotel parking lot.
Avital targets their products to 'professional auto installers' so there is not a consumer help line available for folks like me,, but the unit did include a basic wiring diagram and I was able to find a detailed wiring guide on line.
I have triggers on each door, the truck lid and the hood, I am thinking the blinking light on the dash would keep some of the goof balls away.
