So the '79 /6 Super 6 are to be adjusted like the older /6's??? Am I correct in this assumption. .010 I and .020 E while running. |

Yep. If the rocker arms have adjusters, then you need to do the lash. They went to hydraulic (non-adjustable) in 1981. The only twist would be if someone swapped your motor over to a hydraulic cam and rocker assembly, but I doubt it. Lou |

On my 79 Volare Wagon, I adjusted them hot, .010 intake, .020 exhaust. I adjusted them after the engine warmed up but not while it was running. That worked well for me. |

I have only done mile once at about 22,000 miles. Warm engine idling away, went OK just a little oil flying about. |
