Hey all,

ok i'm SLAMMING the volare 8) but i have a few Q's first, i want to drop it 4" (or close to it in the front) and 3" in the rear, i can get a lowering block kit for the rear fairly cheap and i really only need to know if i should get an angled block or would a straight block work fine???

now for the T-bars, i'm wondering if there are stiffer T-bars for an F-body like an A-body? i plan on hitting 4" lower in the front and i'll definatly need something stiffer i think. i can get Drop spindles but i really dont wanna go that route right now b/c of the cost...

anyways thanks for the help, 14" mags and 50series tires are really gonna look slick 8) 8)

 Justin

the tires and rims alone will do wonders. i believe that there are no stronger bars than a v-8 bar if i remember correctly. put the tires and rims on ansd see where it is first. then see how much farthe you need to drop it. one word of caution on the front though, if you go to low, the geometry will be all out of wack and you WILL get funny tire wear and possible ill handleing will also result as well as getting the alighnment back into specs---which you must do as lowering the torsion bar will set the front end out of wack. i say do the blocks in the rear--angle ons will prob be needed to keep the pinion angle right. go with the spindles in front---its the only way to fly when going that low---for looks and your saftey. the only ones id buy are the ones that i've purchased from fatman fabrications. pricey -but well made for sure. i dont have them on my big block car yet so i cant show pics of the stance unfortunately. it will be low for sure though.

Get the angled blocks for the rear - if you use blocks larger than 2" for ANY lowering application. If you don't you pinion angle will be all jacked up. I'm running 3" blocks in the rear of my 63 Valiant and turned torshions in the front - the stock ones. I does ride pretty mushy un the front. A set of KYBs helped.

I'm just bummed that the A Arms are so short. Otherwise I'd bag it. I have almost all the parts for a really basic air suspension system laying around, but to get a system working on my 63 I'd have to get the whole front clip redone. You need 6" of clearance around am air bag, there is only about 2" free...

Oh well, I'll just have to spend the $$ on bodywork.

Joe
