hello all! this is my first post ~ been loving this forum .
I just bought not only my first Dodge but my first slant six! its a 1974 dodge d100 stepside.
it has a "rebuilt" 225 /727
over the last few weeks ive been cleaning up the mess left for me, being im in CA and its a 74 it has smog stuff- but a lot was removed or just unplugged. I removed the choke solenoid and vacuum amplifier. the 1brrl has an manual choke.
aftermarket ( tiny ) air cleaner .

one of my biggest concerns at this moment is the manual choke DOES NOTHING, I witness the choke close but no RPM gain.
doesn't seem to do anything?
Is the engine getting air somewhere else?

anyways im replacing all the lines today and plugging whats not hooked up properly.
also can anyone recommend a good manual to trace these lines and ports?

THANK YOUU FOR READING
CHEERS!

I didn't have a lot of mechanical experience when I got my 1974 Dart, and I have found the factory service manual to be indispensable. It helps that my car was pretty unmodified before I got to it. For example, it contains this picture.
