Lock tight question, I generally am fairly liberal with my lock tight (243). Specifically I am about to install my new clutch and clutch cover with the 5/16th bolts. The Chrysler service manual I have (finally got the real one) says to tighten to 200 inch lbs (16.5 foot), but nothing about lock tight. I assume that's not a product that existed in 78. Are these bolts as critical as the ones that hold on the flywheel? Am I good to put a dollop of lock tight on pretty much everything moving forward? Paul |

They should have lockwashers on them. If it's a stock type rebuild than you should be okay with those specs. Dont over tite .. cause they break ask me how I know! Greg |

Hum, I did not get any lock washers and I bought the bolts from Brewers performance. You sure about the washers? Paul |

Well I might call them just to confirm. All of the stock ones I have dealt with had washers. I just put ARP bolts in my Grüne Hölle build, and it had flat washers instead of lock washers. It is possible brewers sold you flanged bolts that have the washers "built in" . A picture could be helpful to see what you are dealing with. Greg |
