Post subject:  Need help quick on this one

Hi all,

A good friend of mine just called me with a question about a truck he's putting headers on. It's an '89 dodge truck with a 360, and the heads have holes next to (or maybe on top of) the exhaust ports that the stock manifolds covered. I think these are probably air injection holes. They leak exhaust like hell when the truck runs. His question is, are the holes threaded? If not, what size freeze plug would fit in them to plug them off? (He has already put the headers on, that's why he can't see the holes to tell if they're threaded.)

I know this isn't slant six related, but he's kinda in a bind. This board is the first place I think of when I have a question. If anyone knows, please answer as soon as you can, since the customer is waiting on the truck.

These are air injection holes and they are not tapped from the factory.

The last ones I plugged I had to tap myself, I think I used a 1/4-20, then used some cheap hardware store bolts to plug the holes, I screwed them in until they bottomed-out and kept twisting until the heads snapped-off.
