I searched around for a breakdown of all the codes for the number on the boss under the alternator but could only find posts of people asking what their number meant and people answering them. Is there a chart online? If not I could use some help with mine as it seems to have letters where people have numbers. F225R T long space 6 The R looks a little funny it's lighter and maybe stamped over something. Picture wouldn't upload, said it was too big and don't know how to resize on my phone. I can always email it you of you'd like. The engine was said to come out of an airport tug. From what I've read the F means 1970 right?

Thanks
Gene

Not as such, that I know of. I put it together for a chapter in Doug Dutra's book, and you can piece it together by looking in the front pages of various-year factory parts cattledogs and factory service manuals.
