Bob and I are getting down to the wire putting our Lemons Turbo EFI build put together, and we have very little experience with EFI tuning. So I figured I'd ask, does anyone have a baseline fuel map we can steal to get started tuning this monster? We're using Microsquirt.

Here are the details of the build, if you're curious:

Engine: 225 Slant with 198 rods/Silvolite pistons, 8.6:1 SCR, stock 1971+ cam, 1.70/1.44 valves, mild port/bowl work.
Hot Side: WH1C turbo, hopefully waste-gated to 6-7 psi (at first). Custom exhaust manifold straight into T3 flange.
Cold Side: 75mm LS1 cable-driven throttle body, used LS3 fuel injectors, Gill Welding fuel rail, custom intake manifold.

Matt may chime in - I don't think there is a baseline for a slant as there are so many variables with an install.

if I can access my tuning laptop and get a file off it I can send my 79 Volare EFI file.. 34#/Hr Injectors - NA - -No Boost. and more compression / same valve size / same cam as you have.

That may be good enough to get us started. We have an appointment on Nov. 9 with a sympathetic dyno operator who knows Megasquirt, but it needs to at least be running on all six cylinders before we get going.

Do you want a file or would pictures of the ve map and ign map suffice?

You also have to take into consideration the warmup enrich or disable it. And lastly the REQ_FUEL setting could be waaay off compared to your setup / injectors.

The file would be awesome if it's not too much trouble. I'll send you a PM with my email address if that works for you.

I am not sure how helpful these will be as I believe the maps are for each specific build / type flow rating of the injectors ... if nothing else it will be a nice picture of numbers.

The VE tables are designed to be independent of the injector size - the ideas is to have the injector data elsewhere, so if you swap injectors the only thing you have to tune is injector data itself.

I sent Frank a copy of my tune as well, but it is a very rough tune as the tuning got cut short when I lost a rod bearing.

does that mean the REQ_FUEL number in the injector settings?
