OK, i am just curious, but my OEM style motor mounts have this 'flap' of metal that sort of hangs over the side of the mount. For the life of me, I cannot see what purpose this serves. Any ideas? Attachment: MotorMount.jpg [ 9.98 KiB | Viewed 3790 times ] |

I'm speculating, but how about a heat shield to prevent the exhaust from cooking the rubber? It'll be really warm that close to the exhaust manifold. Roger |

My guess is a stop. So when the rubber gets old and starts settling/slipping/shearing it stops at some point. |
