I spent the day scrounging for 78-80 heads and came up empty. Found an 83 in a van, but it has hydraulic set-up. Can I just swap my rocker assembly onto this head and use my solid rockers/pushrods (I already searched this topic and noted a recommendation to use a smaller bolt from the 83 head) just need verification that this will work. I actually plan to use the 78 aspirator improve emissions. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can. Remember to grab the valve cover for the '83 as it is different from the '78 I believe.
