There's been some discussion in other Lemons threads, but enough people have expressed interest in coming out to Sebring that I figured I'd start a new thread for it. Who all is coming out to race, wrench, or watch?

Keep in mind that Lemons will still be operating on a "no spectators" policy, so you'll need to register with a team as a crew member if you want to come out and watch. Let us know and we'll get it figured out! There could end up being a lot of Slant Six cars racing at this one:

EVR's 1964 Turbo Dart
Off-Kilter Racing 1962 Valiant
Jason's 1964 4-speed Valiant, maybe? He sounded interested when I texted him a month ago, but he might need drivers.
The Resistance and their 1963 Soviet Space Dart (Bob and I are trying to talk them into coming).

I'm planning on being there. Will be on the "Off Kilter" team

Signed up for Off Kilter! Would love some seat time in the EVR Dart if that can work out. Will be great to see you in any case, Frank and Bob and co!

Cheers,
Lou

Wouldn't that be a hoot to have four of us at the same race!

That would be unreal! Maybe at CMP or Road Atlanta or a more central location?

Sounds like a good time, but unless I get invited to drive I'll have to root for you from a distance. Can someone let Jason know I'm available? And that I can bring 1.16" torsion bars.

Barber is another option we’ve all been to. Plenty of time to plan for that one.

Yes, Barber is a great location for the NEXUS of SLANTED LEMONS.

Jason's Valiant doesn't sound likely. He told me he's not sure he can make it. If he does, it sounds like he's more likely to bring the Neon so his wife can drive too.

Wow, Jason is married? That is great for him, if so! It will be great to see him again sometime.

anyone interested in lap time comparisons?
listed below are the best qualifying times for the five classes that ran in the 2021 Sebring 12 hour race.

DPi 1:45.354
LMP2 1:51.025
LMP3 1:56.001
GTLM 1:54.901
GTD 2:01.518

The leading Mazda MX5's were race lapping in the 2:27's in the 45 minute MX5 race.

I think we will be about twice that John, but thanks for showing us our inadequacies...

Well, I don't actually know if he's married. Jason can be a bit cryptic. What I've gathered from his texts is that he now has a toddler, and that the mother of said toddler has raced his Lemons Neon a couple times.

Toddler!? Wow! No mention of that in his texts to me...

Whitney has raced the Neon I believe...
