G'day guys.

I have "decent" heat riser components in an exhaust manifold I'm tidying up but......

The little bushes (sleeves) that keep it tight are stuffed/broken. Is it simply a case of trying to make some new little metal bushes that aren't too tight, but will limit rattle ?

Thanks,
Peter

The factory bushings are made out of high temp bronze material to keep them from seizing onto the heat raiser valve's steel shaft.
The outside diameter of the bushing is an interference fit to the manifold and the inside diameter is a "running" fit for the shaft.
It is common that the inside bushing hole will have to be reamed or drilled-out, after the bushings are pressed into the manifold.

Mate, thanks very much for the reply. That's helpful info.

I actually can't access my old account, which is why it seems that's my first question on the group.

No problem on the bushing question.
There are many suppliers that have bronze bushings so take some measurements and do some looking around for a supplier near you.
