are the intake and exhaust valve stem seals the same? Some list 1 part number for intake and exhaust and felpro has separate part numbers.

Depends on which style seal you want to use.
Positive style or umbrella style. Positive I believe are the same for intake and exhaust, umbrella I've seen 2 different styles used.

Yea it's hard to tell because some umbrella types are listed as same part number for both and some that are not labeled as umbrella are listed for both. I guess i'll just order the different sets of Fel Pro

The ones with more overhang are for the intake valves. The shallow ones are for the exhaust valves.

It ain't just valve guide seals for a slant 6. Any automotive part, across brands there is much overlap in years and models, one brand fits only one model for one year, while the same part from someone else claims to fit lotsa cars for 20 years. And the multi fit one isn't necessarily "universal" part which usually don't fit anything very well.

Not to mention a lot of the retailers' parts databases are chock full of errors. Call your local Autozone or O'Reilly and tell them you need a high volume oil pump for a slant six (you'll need to provide year, make, and model). Bet you a dollar they try to sell you a Melling M72HV. I have no idea what engine that pump actually goes on, but it ain't a slant six.

That's a 318-360 oil pump.
