I thought I could go awhile without having a slanted vehicle; evidently not too long. Picked up this 1984 D100 Short-bed Custom with 833OD and 2WD. Engine appears to be a late 70s unit and the Lean-Burn has been *ahem* "deleted" be a previous owner. I've already installed an HEI conversion, a nice Carter BBS (to replace the 1945), adjusted valves and all that good stuff. It now runs very well, though I suspect the advance springs in the distributor are too heavy so it's a turd at RPM.

I've taken a few photos just for reference, and will be uploading more as time goes on. You can find themhere.

Future plans are to get a better torque-producing cam ground and installed, installing my custom intake/header assembly purchased from Andrew over a year ago. It will then get a 390 Holley 4bbl and dual 2" header pipes. Additional plans are to rid the truck of all the wiring for the lean-burn system and other items no longer needed. Other than that, it will be used as my daily driver and it may make a few trips down the track too, we shall see.

Anyways, good to be back (again)!

Sweet deal! Sounds just about like the twin to my 82 D150.
