There is a guy in Texas that can 3D print scale slant six engines. From 1:32 up to 1:8 scale. Just has the one version, but could make more if there is enough demand. Looks to be pretty nice detail, too. I have both of the old 1/4 scale slants from the 60's, one visible, the other not. Even at $100 for his 1/8th scale version, that's better pricing than the going rate in collector circles. Think I might have to order a couple from him. Thanks for sharing.....Roger |

Thanks for letting me in here guys, I know I am not really a Slant 6 guy, but I am a gearhead. One of the reason I am posting is saw a post about someone having the 1/4 scale models from yesteryear. my point being I would love to pay anyone who has motor parts including but not limited to Slant 6 parts but especially those because theres a huge void there in the market, and let me 3D scan them to make accurate models. If anyone especially in N. Texas would let me do this I would be very grateful. |

I have an unbuilt 1/4 scale engine that I believe is complete. I can lend this to the cause. Now, if only you could 3-D print an aluminum cylinder head............... |

If you mean in actual aluminum it's possible but would cost someone 6 figures.
Now, if only you could 3-D print an aluminum cylinder head............... |

DANG! I just drove through the panhandle twice in the last week-and-a-half! Went to Prrescott, AZ and boondocked in the Coconino National Forest for four days.Saw the Grand canyon south rim, (for the first time in my life), and a few other attractions. This old Iowa guy didn't expect 40* overnight temps in Arizona! BRRR! What, exactly, do you need? Just the externals? I'm assuming you weren't planning on printing up pistons and rings. Roger |

So I've gone full time doing this whole 3D printing thing I really want to go back and revisit the slant six and make some other stuff for it I'm going to be stupid here but I want to make a completely bone stock version with a one barrel carburetor what I can't figure out maybe somebody can help me is The intake in the exhaust connect to each other is that some sort of EGR system or something I for the life of me I can't figure out what in the world that actually does and how it works any insight would be great and better yet if somebody wants to let me scan some parts for the slant six like a stock intake and exhaust manifold I would happily pay shipping or come to you depending on where it's at. |

That connection is to heat the intake manifold for improved drivability. The intake manifold and the exhaust manifold are bolted to each other (with a gasket between) and then mounted on the head. The two together (cast iron) weigh just shy of 40 pounds. Where are you located? Maybe someone here is close to you and can lend you some pieces. -Matt |
