Anyone have a working machine and want to look over an electronic dist?
It has had the vacuum removed and a one spring change.

I have an older craftsman timing light and marks are not easy to read on my setup.
Hard to tell 30 from 40 degrees.
Is there a better light that might help me?
I have a degreed wheel.

Do you have a dial back light. Makes it easy enough to set if you can see your zero! I have an all electronic one that Ryan got me for Christmas one year. Way more sophisticated than I really need, but it does have the tachometer on which is really nice. I'll let you know what brand it is.

I bought one from Summit a few years back. It worked great until I dropped it...

Mine is an Innova Model 5668 Timing light Pro. I think it came off the Snap on truck.

I got this one from Amazon, I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I removed the electronic yesterday, it don't act right, so I know I didn't do it correctly.

I wish I had access to a distributor machine.
I almost got one at an auction once but got "talked out of" bidding, guy who got it lived not far from my parents and told me I could come over and "use his" anytime I wanted. I decided that since it would be just something else in my way 90% of the time I agreed, let him get it. He had several 30s and 40s cars. I don't think he's "among us" any more though

Last time I talked to him he'd gotten a new job which was keeping him super busy. His Sun machine broke/wore out, he said parts were not to be had and would be very expensive if he could indeed find them. I'll give him a yodel, it's been a while since we talked.
