Clay City is the next race on the calendar 9-11 September. Test & Tune Friday Night 9 September: Gates open at 8:00 AM with T&T 4-10 PM, Entry fee $20 Saturday: Gates open at 8:00 AM, Time Runs (2) at Noon with Eliminations right after. 1/4 Mile Race Sunday: ??? Flyer doesn't have it. I'll post an update when they get back to me. Typically Gates open at 8:00 AM, Chapel at 9:00, 1 time run at 10:00 with Eliminations after. 1/8 Mile Race Bonus: You may also run in Sportsman at no extra cost $50 entry fee per race with 75% Payback from the track. I will also have additional payouts separate from whatever the track pays. (Thank you Seymour!) Winner - $125 Runner Up - $75 Semis - $50 (Same Payout for each day) Please post your intent to attend. Here is the flyer for the event: They had a race in May this year as well, but no Slant 6 cars showed up.

Gona drag my little Colt out there, as long as the long term weather forcast is 50-50. It's a long way from the great state of Texas. First time for me, is there camping at the track? |

Yes there is Stan. And the Slant 6 crowd usually parks close to the Rest room across from the big trees. Are you gonna make a full tilt blast in the Colt soon?

I like Clay City. I'm working on my truck, and the "race car", along with "real world" things, Just in case I might be able to make it. The biggest problem, is having someone to take care of my wife for 5-6 days. Chances are slim, so don't count on me. |

I plan to drive the 68 Barracuda to Clay City and race it on the track. The plan is to arrive Friday PM for the test and tune session. |

I will be on vacation but have offered my truck to Ryan in case he wants to come. I will talk to Andrew Shank as well and see if he is thinking about going. Rick |

It looks like I will likely not be able to attend this race after all... Angie has to travel for work during that time and will be gone for several weeks. If someone else is willing to coordinate on this one, please let me know. Thanks. |

Thanks Lou, I usually let them know about how many cars to expect. I can do all the pre-race coordination. I just won't be on the ground. They are great to work with. I always go up to the tower and talk to Dallas and let him know we are there and that I'll be bringing him our ladder. We run 1/4 mile Saturday and 1/8 mile Sunday. No Buy Backs (they are on the flyer). I can either get you the money for the additional pay outs or can send directly to the winners after the race. |
