Just as the title says my clutch rod is rubbing on the bell housing. i have checked the bushings and the torque shaft is not bent and it is in the correct position. I’m not 100% sure what is going on. The clutch is adjusted good, just as the fsm instructs. Has anyone ran into this and have any tips? These issues with this ole 78 d100 are finally starting to get fixed, one at a time. Although this trans will be removed soon to replace it with an auto 727 I still like to fix the problems that’s arise. Appreciate everyone’s help. Yes you to Dan! I don’t care what others say I think you have a plethora of knowledge |

I would suspect motor mounts or trans mounts to be worn/ suspect here. Additionally unlike the car platforms.. which are unibody.. The truck is not unibody, resulting in another variable here. Your cab to frame bushings could be toast resulting in the z bar being not true or out of alignment to the frame / bell housing. ** Edit... the cab bushings may not have the effect I imagined they did on the Z bar. I will have to double check that on my truck when I get to the garage. ** It is possible that the Z bar Pivot attaches to the frame, not the Cab / Body, therefore the cab bushings can effect the Clutch pedal travel / feel but not the rod alignment / position as I had previously proposed. I will try to get some pics. I double checked my fsm and it could be I have pieces in the wrong place, but the picture is hard to determine what goes where

As I’m online now for a few I found the issue. It’s was just bent. A quick push and all was well. Didn’t even think to try that |
