My 75 Duster has the check EGR light on. The car has a new EGR, but the Light must need to be reset or something. Anyone know what to do here? How do I turn the light off? Also what sensor tells the light to come on? Thanks Shawn |

There is a unit on the firewall that connects to your speedo cable, you have to use a slotted screwdriver to 'reset' the mechanical counter. All cars I've seen have it removed, you can just reach under your dash and pull the light out of the socket, and put the socket back into place, you really don't need to be reminded every 60K that the thing needs to be pulled and replaced. -D.Idiot |

The Slant Six in my '68 Valiant is out of a '77 Aspen and has a busted EGR on it. Is it an essential piece if you don't have any pollution control crap on there? |

They didn't have EGR's in 1968, and you're not governed by the EPA from the US, if you don't have to smog, plate that thing off... -D.Idiot |
