Trying to remove my gas pedal (63, 6 cyl valiant) The top small bolt (to floorboard) was easy to get to, but I can't get to the bottom one.. Any tips? |

Hello, I believe there are 2 studs with nuts that pass thru the floorboard to the underside above the exhaust pipe / torsion bar area. If you got one of of those nuts removed, the other one should be much of the same provided it is not rotted and rusted together. If access is an issue, try a ratchet wrench, wobbly socket extension, socket with a universal joint etc. Raise the car on a hoist or on jackstands for best access as well. Good luck! Greg |

Actually my car had self- tapping threaded bolts with no nuts, no there was no access underneath... I had to remove the pedal itself from the floor bracket, after I figured out how to do that. (The pedal was fastened to the floor bracket with a simple, unthreaded "bolt" held in place with a spring thingy covering the bolt head. I felt pretty stupid once I realized that... |
