Step 1 Disconnect the battery before you do anything to prevent shorting out and causing an electrical fire.
Step 2 Find the Allen head screw that holds the knob on and using the correct size Allen wrench loosen the screw. You do not need to remove it completely maybe 1 turn.
Step 3 Pull the knob off the shaft.
Step 4 If you're removing the wiper switch, I would remove the instrument cluster for better access to the wiring.
Step 5 If you're removing the wiper switch unscrew the nut that retains the switch this can be done with a pair of right-angle snap ring pliers.
Step 6 unplug the switch noting how it plugs in for reassembly.
