Puttin' new one on my '85 pickup and forgot th' terminals th' two small wires go to. One is red and one is greenish/yellowish and both terminals on th' 'nator say "FLD". Are they polarity concious?

Nope, it does not matter. Just hook them up which ever way is most convenient.
