| Post subject: | 1965 a100 door removal |
just wanted to make sure theres no trick before i attempt to knock the pins out . going to make my first attemp at engine removal from my new to me a100 p/u . any exper. or advice on pulling thru pass. door welcome...new here . i thought there was a a100 section but i couldnt find it ! |

I knocked the hinge pins out on my A100 and lifted the doors off. If you plan to remove the hinges from the doors or from the body, do yourself a big favor and drill a couple of 1/8” holes so you are sure to get them back exactly where they are now. As far as pulling the motor, I pulled mine out thru the passenger door. Be sure to get your engine hoist boom down as close to the engine as you can. You’ll need the lift the motor quite high to get it out of the cab! My truck is currently sitting quite high on pipe welding stands and I think I’m going to try to install the engine from below the truck. Time will tell! |
