63 Valiant, 2 door. I need to adjust the passenger side door a little, and reading the manual, it's not all that clear... It mentions "hinge straps", whatever that means (hinges?) So.... is alignment done using the bolts on the door side hinge bolts , or the bolts on the body side, accessed through the inside kick panel? I just want to be clear on tis. Thanks.

I would imagine it is done with the front fender off. then the fender is hung adjusting to the gaps on the already set door.

I am no body man but that is my guess.

The gaps aren't the problem; I just have to raise the door a little at the rear, which can only be done with the hinge bolts loose. I just need to verify that the bolts are loosened from inside the car, through the access holes behind the kick panels. Rather awkward if that's the case.

I cannot remember if the bolts are accessed on the inside or outside of the pillar. Best to remove the kick panel and see.

Yes I think that is correct.

Yep, the bolts have to be loosened from inside the car; I got it done last night. Thank you!
