Post subject:  clutch linkage interchanging

There is a 3 spd SL6 Valiant (60,61 or 62) in a junkyard near me.
Does anyone know what parts (clutch pedal rod, pedals,z bar, etc) will work with a 4 speed, and what years. Did these parts change in '63 or '67? Also, can any be used on a small block v8 conversion as well?

Post subject:  You can make something work....

I recently pulled some clutch parts from a 1964, and there are some 'mechanical' differences in the linkage between the pre-67 and post 67 setups. I haven't found one yet, but I hear the pedal linkage 'ear' on a slant six z-bar is taller than the V-8 one since we don't have an exhuast manifold laying in that general area...

well I can answer part of my question now since I pulled the parts. None of the parts (with the possible exception of the clutch pedal rod-would have to measure) are like the 67 and up pieces which I am pretty familiar with. The Z bar attaches to an inner frame braket held on by 3 bolts.
The fork rod is held on differently as well.
So, modifying my question, are the early a body parts (60-62) the same or different than the 63-66 linkage parts?

don't know the answer to this... anyone know if the early pedals/linkage will fit the 63-66 A's?
