Last night meet up with the orginal 63GT owner to retrieve some parts he had stashed away many moons ago we also found some 8mm movies labeled "Phoenix 65 (GT)". I inquired about his home movies, took awhile to find the projector, Opens with some interesting vintage iron and gas rail jobs, but then lo and behold there's the GT in orginal paint going heads up with a 62 Valiant with only the wheelcovers removed and bald 13 inch bias plys on the rear with what looked to be 10 pounds of air in each doing the 1/4 mile boogie on a marked abandoned runway
. Too awsome 
. Am going back tonight to view reel 2 to see who won. Need to get me some VHS copies of this, as he has film of these event for the 3 years he was stationed at nearby Luke AFB. Guess that explains my twisted axle...Dave
