For anyone that has done the super six manifold upgrade I'm having trouble visualizing what is needed for the throttle bracket.

I am putting this on 1966 225 and using the stock exhaust manifold.

What parts do I need to find so I can adapt the BBD's cable actuated throttle versus the current Holley 1920 one barrel's rod type linkage?

I'm thinking the stock super six brackets but do they mount to the early slant style exhaust manifold? Also I know that part is hard to find, is there a universal kit or will I need to fabricate something?

I know there are 3rd party options for the kick down but wasn't sure if the Lokar systems (and others) includes something for the throttle cable mounting.

I have a electric choke so I don't need to bother with the choke stove.

The exhaust manifold mounting points won't be an issue.

For a pedal, I made a bracket to install an Aspen / Volare hanging pedal. I'm wondering if you could find something in a junkyard BMW (like a late 1990s 3 series) that keeps the factory style floor mounted pedal.

If you want to keep the factory style 66 pedal but use a throttle cable then get yourself a 1972-1980. D/W series truck throttle assembly from the junkyard or ebay. Bolt it to your firewall and use a stock cable or lokar cable cut to fit your application.

I did this on my'64 ... worked well and got another one to convert my '62 the same way.

Thanks for the replies guys. If anyone has photos of how the setup their linkage with cables versus rods I'd be grateful for a photo or two. I have a Super Six manifold and using a Carter BBS.

BTW: I got a 1966 V8 gas pedal so that's done.
