Hey so replaced my timing chain set. Crank mostly staying in place, but when I put it together crank bearings is either -20 degrees, and the timing gears are *to*. . Replaced distributor too. Nylon gear was issue, not timing. Sucks.. thinking mark it, see where I can get distributor close to #1.. hope for best, otherwise? Camera to #1 firing order for when tdc (top dead veter) |

Your post doesn't make sense. "Crank bearings -20*"?

Maybe the O.P. has installed 0.020" undersized crankshaft bearings? This will have no "bearing" on the timing issues presented here. Greg |
