Hey could anyone post pictures of the carb end of a Bouchillon kickdown cable setup on a 2 barrel Slant Six with a Carter BBD carb using the stock throttle cable mounting location? I bought the Bouchillon kickdown kit and it looks like the supplied carb bracket needs to be cut down to work on the BBD but before I start cutting, I'm hoping to get some confirmation. I have spent too much time searching online only to find nothing! Many thanks in advance!

Here's a mock-up so far--looks like the carb bracket has to be cut and the kickdown cable bracket has to be mounted on the outside of the stock 2 bbl accelerator bracket with the accelerator cable moving to the inside.

Update: I cut the carb bracket along its right edge and cut the throttle nut per the instructions. I also ground down the splines on the throttle cable bolt so it sits as flat as possible under kickdown cable. Finally, I drilled out the roll pin, disconnected the bracket it was holding on, then inserted the small nut and bolt through the hole where the roll-pin was.

I think this is correct but still hoping someone can verify. Thanks!

I never messed with the bouchillon setup, but my son has a couple on a/t equipped small blocks. To me that setup looks really hokey, and what he has don't use the newer style factory cables like it appears that you have. Which is what I heard their setups are supposed to consist of.
I have a pickup with a /6 that I have swapped in a super 6 stack onto, and am currently in a quandary trying to figure out if I want to leave it auto or whether I want to convert it to a stick, as I have everything I will need to go either way.
I have a couple of lokar cables, one genuine and one copy cat version. Since I can't seem to find "real" super 6 linkage, if I don't do the 4 speed conversion I'm gonna try to see what I m gonna see what I can do with what I have.

Thanks; yeah, I think the Bouchillon setup uses factory-style parts that are found on later model cars and trucks. Not sure which ones.

I'll get the rest of this installed when the weather gets a bit nicer and will try to remember to report back on this site.
