Okay, I'm thinking about a conversion that I think would look good but would be useless. What I want to do is to (on a foor door 73 Dodge Dart with a valance under the back bumper) put the tailpipes throught the valance. The problems I see with this:
1) The spare holder is located where doing this would look best and I don't want to cut into my flooboard.
2) What looks like a second bumper(when one has a 70 lbs bumber I don't see the need for a second one) is there.

Now, will cutting to holes in that second bumbper likely to effect regidity, and would there be any major side effects to putting the exhaust in this location (I have connections so this sort of exhaust would not be expensive). It seems possible and I think it would give a good push towards looking like a have dual exhaust while not having what I like to call "gun-barrel" syndrome. Because I haven't seen this sort of conversion though I'm guessing their's something wrong with it(no ideas are orignal)

This is a lot of work for "looks" but if it is something you really need to do in life, go for it.
