Anyone know the interchanges on brake hoses? One of my front brake hoses decided to puke fluid today, so it's time to replace them. It's a '64 Valiant with 9" drums all around, and the local parts guys are not very good at looking up anything that isn't on the computer. I seem to remember some changes in the wheel cylinders involving the threads for the bleeders and possibly for the brake hoses, too. Will any other years interchange?
By the way, I converted it to a dual master cylinder a while back, and plan to go to disks when I find a donor. The dual MC probably saved me a bunch of trouble when that line blew today! Many thanks to all the folks who put the info and recommendations online about that.

My '65 Dodge Dart has the 9" drums too. I'm not sure what is right, but my local NAPA told me only the '65's have a lookup problem. They could have 1 of 2 different hoses (and wheel cylinders up front). They said if mine was either a '64 or '66 it would have been simple (instead of a return and reorder in my case). Now I have forgot if my fronts the '66 or '64 type, but the threads from hose to wheel cylinder are NOT the same (and they where not the ones they first gave me on the hoses, but the wheel cylinders where right - and couldn't be put together!).

Oh, they still need to know the year and brake size, but you already know that info. And a warning, the parts are not exactly free (though not nearly as painful as the idler arm or e-brake cables!)

On my 63 dodge dart and the 61 valiant the hoses are the same -
AutoZone sells BrakeWare 88525 for the front $16
and BrakeWare 88258 for the rear $14
I would think (and their web site lookup says)
the 64 Plmouth Valiant and 64 dodge dart also use these parts.

BTW - My dart and valiant are 9" drum all the way around.
