 Post subject: Replacement Fuse Clip

I need to replace a clip to hold a fuse in the fuse block. See photo for the missing clip.

Is this something I can source online or do I need to go to a pick n' pull to find an older car that uses these kinds of clips? If I do the latter, do I remove the clips by pulling them out with a pliers?

Is installation as simple as pushing the new clips into place or do i need to worry about connecting wires?

Was there a fuse holder in the empty spot that you removed/ or it was damaged? If not, you probably do not need to add one in there unless you plan to wire something additional in, Which would be easier if you used an ATM Style fuse holder

I am not sure if those OE Style Fuse Holders for the stock block are available 'a la carte. SlantSixDan will know for you. I would get an old parts car and drill out the Rivets and get the wires from the old fuse holder, then you need a way to rivet it into the existing Acc Space on your block. Quite a lot of work. Many of those '60's A-bodies have that opening for an extra accessory like say a power convertible top or Elect. Rear Window motor on a station wagon.

Yes, there was a fuse clip in that space. I don't know how the fuse and clip were "removed" -- the car was sitting in a different location for a while and it was only recently that I got things rolling again, and noticed that the fuse and clip were missing.

I'd rather not wire in a whole new fuse block.

Finding replacement clips isn't hard, I guess what I'm not clear about is whether the clips just pop into the fuse block.
