But anyone can change a shift knob.

It looks like the shifter is off the side of the center hump. With the external shifter like that in a truck it should be a OD transmission. They never put the 833 non overdrive in the pick up truck that I know of. That being said someone could have swapped one in, but it would be doubtful.
