It's a few reasons.

1. I changed jobs and the Dart is not well suited to the new commute.
2. I need a modern driver anyway, for those days when the roads are salted or it's raining. I could drive it on those days but why would I?
3. I want the modern driver to have space in the garage. That space is currently occupied by the Dart.
4. My wife tolerates the old car hobby but doesn't like it, especially the fuel smell in the garage after driving, but also the lack of safety features.
5. I've generally moved on from the car hobby. I'm a serial hobbyist and I've started other things.

I would have sold it a couple years ago when I changed jobs, but my son badly wanted me to keep it. When he finally got his own driveway I signed the title over to him. He drove it for a while but then found he wasn't driving it or doing anything at all with it. It was just parked in his driveway with a cover on it. So he finally admitted he didn't really want it. And I offered to take it back in order to sell it.

It really is a great car for the right person. I was that person for years but I'm not any more.
