| Post subject: | Question about universal gps speedo. |
Long story short I cant identify my transmission so i can use a drive by cable to measure the speed. And i dont want to spend $400 to keep my oem one. Just not worth the money for me. Was wondering if anyone has tried this gps speedo and how they retrofited it inside the dash. Since this speedo is 3 3/8 inches diameter and the stock is 5. Any help would be great. |

Why can't you identify the trans? Can you post a picture? Is it an automatic, or a standard shift? |

I have on previous post. Its some sort of 80s Ford transmission.

I don't recognize it from that picture. Do you have any more pictures? where the shifter connects, where the speedo cable connects, etc ? Is it a 3 speed or 4 speed? |

I dont have any more pictures. But its 4 speed. Shifter connects in the top middle of the transmission. And it has no Shifter cable.

Get one of these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-ecd-200bt-1 Drive it with one of these: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-gps-50-2 And Use one of these to get a quicker GPS lock: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dak-600041 This model I picked because the '64 Dart has a 5/8" thread on connector like the GM does. For your Clicp on style Speedo you may need a custom cable or some sort of adapter. I am not sure If DD makes a Mopar specific Cable end or if another part # of the 200Bt will work for you. Do your research or call summit support. Either way it will be cheaper to get a speedometer cable for your existing Transmission and speedometer combination. Greg |
